I cut the bloody thing in half using my trusty Dremel. Then I replaced it with a new original VW part. I'm not even sure you can get something else. Anyway, it took me 20 minutes to cut through, then another 45 minutes to replace and lower the front. If you have an airgun it will take you 5 minutes I think .
I also replaced the front screenwipers with the new style Airoblades. VW dealer offers an upgrade set for the VW Passat which can also be fitted on the VW Transporter. At the rear I replaced my wiper and arm with VW T5 original parts. So the T4 now looks more modern (in detail that is). I'll replace the top picture pretty soon. It still shows my previous T4 ACV.

I don't use Longlife. Nope, I rather change my oil and filter every 15.000km's. And its also cheaper! T4 had 102.8xx kms. Also replaced the interiorfilter, oilfilter and dieselfilter.
Had a bit of a problem lowering the fornt suspension. I used a lot of force on the left bolt. So much that it broke. Well at least I tought it broke. I'm glad it didn't. Took me almost an hour to put it back in place. Only problem now is that I will have to cut through it and replace it. Easier said than done. This time I will take pictures to illustrate.

Thursday I fitted some new Brembo discbrakes and EBC Heavy Duty Carbon Vanbrakes. Too bad these DPC1368 front pads don't have two wear leads, just one. Now I'll have to loop one of the leads at the front. The rear DPC1285 pads do have two leads. Very annoying. I mailed EBC UK. The answer was: DPC1286, does have two leads 250mm long. Then please do tell me why your PDF tells me to buy the DPC1368!?!?!?
A bit dissappointed with EBC catalogue. Anyway, the T4 had 102.060km's on Thursday the 20th when I replaced the brakes. Hopefully Saturday I can replace the interiorfilter, fuelfilter, oilfilter and ofcourse the oil. The airfilter has been replaced by a K&N and I removed the round airrestrictor. Seems to breath a little better. And with little I realy do mean little.

It's an 111kW VW Caravelle. It has ABS, airconditioning front/mid/rear, electric windows and mirrors (heated), central locking, cruisecontrol and a certified alarm system. I bought it because I didn't want to trade in 3 days of my life just to fit an airco/climatronic. So all the plans made for the first one will be done on this one. First the Caravelle needs to be converted so it can be used to transport my disabled son. No problems there I hope. The floor of the Transporter will be taken out and put in the Caravelle. The double cabin of the Caravelle will be placed in the Transporter. Then the Transporter will be sold. It's a shame actually, 'cause I like that color better. If it wasn't for the airco and the time it would take to modify...
I've already replaced the Bilstein absorbers and MAD and springs with the stock one on the Transporter. The Bilstein and MAD went straight to the Caravelle. It just needs some more adjustment at the front which is a bit to high at the moment. Next thing I'll do probably will be the soundsystem. It's just as bad as in the Transporter. All things will have to wait though. On the 3rd of October we'll get the key to our new house. So that will consume most of my time.
BTW the new bus is Indigo Blue. Picture will follow shortly!

Fitted a two-way car alarm in the T4. This was a real shit job! Central locking gave me a headache. Still have to figure out the engine blocking. Could not understand the schematics or which wire to use.

Placed new oil, oilfilter, airfilter and interior airfilter. Sure wonder why they put that oilfliter at the center of the engine.
